Notes
Architecture is the most lasting trace of men.
Through ages, elements & conflicts, we are still visiting what built our elders.
In this architectural visualization, I choose to project a man in a far future where nature took back its place, dazed in front of this mushrooms-like structure.
What curious feeling will have an adventurer coming from elsewhere in the middle of this lost place ?
Like a Muslim discovering a cathedral, or a Crusader observing the Blue Mosque in the old times...
Being out of scale is what produce sometimes, the strange sensation of falling down...
The Palazzo Del Lavoro is a gigantic piece of architecture created by Gio Ponti and inaugurated in 1961 in Turin, Italia. 15m high by 22m large, each pillar is a metal & concrete piece of monumentalism, and there is -just- 16 of them. I guess that even after an endless war in an hypothetic future, those will last...
Thank you for this contest, I loved working on this piece !
Best,
Jules G.
