Notes
The object is located on the territory of the former Minsk Porcelain Factory at 91, Kropotkina str. There will be public park in the half of terriotry. And there will be 6 residential units in the second half of the area. The theoretical justification of my project comes down to 3 points. The first one - is to work with the context of the place and the image conditionality of the object by history of this place. In this project, the metal facade panels is a reference to the "factory" past of this territory, white polymer coating panels is a reference to porcelain, which has been the main production of a factory, and 2 outdoor pond is a reference to the river Perespa once flowed here. The second point - is to contribute to close relations between neighbors. Each floor has only 2 apartments in the section. Number of floors is limited by 7 toinclude people sitting in the lodge in the street life. Transparent glass facades (especially facades of the ground floor) promote social control and ensure that the residents themselves were more involved in the maintenance of order in the hallways and in the courts. The third (and main) aspect was the paradigm shift from a document ASHRAE 55 to document EN 15251. The first document ASHRAE 55 defines comfort as a static measure and forces designers to equip the building engineers able to year-round to maintain the temperature mechanically. The second document EN 15251 admits and acknowledges that the user of architecture can be adapted to the environment by himself, and adapt it in the presence of certain assets (in this case, the outer facade is composed entirely of panels that can be moved in different ways, so it is possible to adjust the insolation, etc.).
